The 179th Virtual Fighter Squadron "DAWGS" is an active community of Digital Combat Simulator pilots united by a love of virtual aviation, tactical teamwork, and the camaraderie that comes from flying together.
We are not an elite-only outfit. Our squadron draws from all walks of life — weekend warriors, military veterans, beginners logging their first flight hours, and seasoned virtual aces with thousands of hours. Everyone has a place here.
What sets us apart is our culture of mentorship. Experienced pilots actively train newer members, and we operate as a real squadron would — with briefings, flight leads, and mission objectives that make each sortie meaningful.
We run our own dedicated DCS servers — training servers for new pilots, mission servers for tactical ops, and monthly challenge servers. No random public lobbies — our birds, our skies, our rules.
